Mark your calendar for June 11-14 to attend Octane Fest 2009 in Fallon and feel the speed of three days of top-tier horsepower racing. This year, the thrilling event debuts the Tuff- CUP 4X4 Challenge – a race that tests a driver’s skills on a rocky, man-made short course guaranteed to get the heart pumping.
Tuff-CUP 4×4 and 2×4 racers compete head-to-head negotiating a course of rock, mud, high speed jumps and Supercross-style berms running in and out of an arena built just for the event at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. Open to Tough Truck, Rock Racers, Class 7 Trucks, and any off road vehicle, this is a short-course version of the “King of the Hammers” race.
Sponsored by Northern Nevada Toyota dealers and Coors Light, Octane Fest will take place at four venues in Fallon. The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be held at Fallon’s Top Gun Raceway, the Open Wheel Racing featuring IMCA Modifieds and 360 Sprints will be held at Rattlesnake Raceway, the Hurricam’s Car Show will be held at Oats Park, and close to a dozen events including the Tuff-CUP Challenge, Rock Crawls, Mud Bogs and EnduroCross will be held at The Churchill County Fairgrounds.
