Groove to the beat at two music festivals in Nevada this April. The 48th annual Reno Jazz Festival, featuring The Bill Holman Big Band, will be held April 22-24, 2010. For more than three decades, the University of Nevada, Reno has been hosting one of the country’s largest jazz competitions, including vocal ensembles, big bands and jazz combos, all competing for highly coveted honors in their categories.

In southern Nevada, enjoy 10 hours of jazz at the 18th annual Las Vegas City of Lights Jazz and R&B Festival on April 24, 2010. By popular demand, the Festival will remain at its new location at the Government Amphitheater near the Las Vegas Strip. The Amphitheater is said to have superior sightlines and an excellent sound system. This year, there will be two new restroom areas, new and unique food and craft vendors, and improved parking. The artist lineup includes handpicked musicians to entertain throughout the day and night. Jazz and R&B artists include soulful musicians like Will Downing, Euge Groove, Lenny Williams, Fattburger and Everette Harp.
