The town of Goldfield, Nevada, an historic part of any trip to the Silver State, is going to be hosting a centennial celebration of the famous 1908 New York to Paris Automobile Race Around the World.

The race originally went through Tonopah, located about 20 miles north of Goldfield. The event will feature cars from that period, an official photo taken by a 1908 Kodak camera, and a commemorative speech.
