The weekend snowstorm brought 8-10 inches of new snow and plenty of excitement to the Tahoe ski resorts and skiers alike. The cold overnight temperatures have also allowed for snowmaking, adding to the accumulations from the recent storm. And to top it off, the sun will be shining this week, making it perfect for enjoying your Thanksgiving holiday on the slopes.

Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort opening additional skiable terrain

Heavenly Mountain Resort (www.skiheavenly.com), utilizing the West Coast’s largest snowmaking system, expects to offer additional skiable terrain when it opens Friday (Nov. 20) than previously was planned — almost 40 acres — accessed by the Tamarack Express and Dipper Express Chairlifts.
