Sightseeing Airlines Open New Air Terminal in Boulder City

Papillon Helicopters and Grand Canyon Airlines/Scenic Airlines have opened a new air terminal, the $9 million dollar ultramodern Boulder City Aerocenter. The aerocenter is home to Papillon’s local fleet of 15 helicopters and Grand Canyon Airlines/Scenic Airline’s 16-airplane fleet.

The 30,000 square-foot terminal enables guests to seamlessly check in for all flights and tours offered by the sightseeing airlines. The building features 26-foot-high ceilings with modern décor, and the center rotunda has an enormous, avant-garde propeller with 24-foot-long blades that slowly turn above passengers as they wait to board. Air-conditioning vents resemble airplane engine exhaust ducts.

Guests can store belongings in a secure area, and food, beverages and gifts are available inside the terminal.

For more information, go to www.papillon.com.
