Watch Wild Nevada online

Adventure in Nevada hasn’t quite been the same since KNPB stopped production of Wild Nevada. The show fashioned itself a “travel-adventure” series and part of its focus was the parts of the state you couldn’t see from The Strip, and they did it very well. They took us on bike rides through beautiful canyons, tours of some of the most historic places in the state, and introduced us to some people you’d be happy to run into as you traveled through the less-populated parts of Nevada.

Now you can check out the show without having to find it on a PBS station near you. They’ve begun putting it online so you can watch it right at your own computer. So far, there are just a few episodes available, but I have to say that as someone who briefly worked on the show a few years ago, I can’t wait for some of the later episodes to start becoming available. As the producers had to start digging a little deeper into the topics, the show became a very detailed look at what makes Nevada tick.

This episode will have some of the best scenery you can see in Nevada. It features Valley of Fire State Park as part of the tour. Take a look and learn a little more about Wild Nevada.

Great feature on Valley of Fire! I was hoping to see the Mouse’s tank, though. I guess not everyone would be fond of that saga, political correctness-wise. I liked seeing Rogers Spring since I had been there a time or two. I will watch some more episodes on line if I can find them with my meager computer skills. Nice to watch from the comfort of home since I don’t have to use SPF 30 or buy $4 a gallon gas.

Glad you liked it, Harley! I’m really hoping to get more episodes to show up soon. Right now they have just the first four online, but like I said, the later stuff got better as they all became more accustomed to the cameras and the production improved. The topics also got deeper and richer as they hit more obscure parts of Nevada. Thanks again.
